Drill
Method
Vertical (90°)
Description
The drill must have been used here to undercut the branches and leaves since they are too fragile to have been worked entirely with chisels.

Notes

In this detail the incredible amount of attention paid to carving this tree can be seen. Most of the branches and some of the leaves are carved in the round even though this details are very thin and fragile.
