Description
Deep creases in the drapery of these figures was carved with a very narrow flat chisel or channelling tool.

Notes

The two mains figures in this scene were intended to have metal tools inserted into their hands but for some reason never received them. This addition of inserts was certainly a second stage of work after carving had finished.
