Process
Fine shaping
Tool
Tooth Chisel
Method
Angle: Shallow (40-50°)
Force: Medium
Description
The surface of the fluting looks like it has been shaped using a tooth chisel but never smoothed over with the flat chisel.

This image comes from right at the top of the Column of Trajan and the ring of fluting that surmounts the frieze can seen at the top.
