Evidence for working practices

1. Block joint

Process
Placement
Description
These figures are carved across the division between two blocks without interruption. This work could only have been completed once the blocks were in place. The fineness of this joint can be appreciated here. Also visible in this image is the way in which the border between spirals responds to the placing of these figures implying that it was carved after their location had already been fixed.
