Evidence for working practices

1. Block joint

Process
Placement
Description
The joint between drums passes right through the middle of this scene and it seems probable that this work was completed in place.

Notes

The weathering on the two blocks is different and the lower block is more damaged, making any assessment of carving across the joint difficult.
