Description
The carving crosses the joint between blocks with interruption, showing that it was finished in place.

Notes

Several of this Dacians were meant to be holding weapons which ended up never being inserted into their hands. This was clearly a second phase of work. Also visible in this detail is the way in which the disjuncture in scale between figures and background buildings on the Column.
