Notes

The facing of the podium of the Temple of Vespasian was composed of numerous differently sized blocks. Like other structures of similar date, such as the Arch of Titus, there was no need for regularly sized blocks, rather the carvers simply adapted whatever size blocks were available to fit the overall format.
