Evidence for working practices

1. Block joint

Process
Placement
Description
A block joint passes right through the middle of this scene. The fact that the carving passes straight across this line indicates that it was done once the blocks were in place.

Notes

The soldiers are lacking tools to cut down the trees which they are supposed to be chopping. The tools were intended to be added at a later date in metal, although in this case it is difficult to tell if the holes have been drilled for the attachment.
