Description
The block lines on this image are very clear. There is no way that the carving of the figured scene here could have been carried out before the blocks were put in place. A real range of block sizes are evident here, some relatively small. The slightly awkward composition of this scene might result from the fact that the carver responsible had to have been working above his head.
