In this damaged state the lines of the various blocks employed are especially clear and, in particular, the lack of any connection between different elements of the monuments and these blocks. In the centre left of this image, for instance, a block can be seen into which was carved a section of the half-column, two surfaces on the right at different depths, as well as a section of entablature over the archway.
