Description
A block line passes across the scene, showing that the stones were carved in place.

Notes

This is a clear case in which the buildings are used simply to set the scene and no attempt is made to depict them in proportion to the figures. Careful outlining of the figures is also apparent here, and on the figure to the right the height of relief varies quite substantially between his feet and his head: there was no set relief depth that the figures had to be carved to, rather the carver made up their mind in each case.
