Notes

This garland sarcophagus is one of the few at Aphrodisias that is carved beyond the roughed-out state. It is also slightly different in its proportions, with much more delicate and shallower decoration than other garland sarcophagi. Unfortunately the surface is so damaged that no toolmarks are visible.
