Monuments: Aphrodisias: Sarcophagi

Hundreds of complete and fragmentary sarcophagi have been found at Aphrodisias. All of them were carved in the local marble and were intended for local use. Several different types are identifiable, the most popular being those decorated with either garlands or columnar screens. More
