Detail of the west side of the eastern decorated pier in the Theatre Baths.
Compared to the decoration on the southern side of this pier, this main face is much more carefully worked with far more attention paid to the decoration of the border moulding. This might indicate that two or more carvers were working on this pier at the same time, with perhaps the best one concentrating on this face.
