Description
The series of parallel lines visible at the top of this fragment correspond to the midpoints of the planned flutes. They seem to have been carved using the corner of a flat chisel.

Notes

This column section is much more roughly worked than some of the others in the Agora Gate and lacks the distinctive stage of work represented by alternating lines of tooth and flat chiselling that some of the other columns passed through.
