Description
Most of this stack of roughed-out columns have been worked with the point chisel. They were found during the removal of ancient quarrying debris as part of modern activity in the quarries. All of these shafts have collars on their ends to protect them during transit.

Notes

The Bacakale Quarry is the largest quarry at Iscehisar (ancient Dokimeion) and the focus of modern activity. Both white and coloured marble are extracted here, the latter a white-cream breccia with purple veins (pavonazzetto).
