Description
This block has had a number of channels cut around it ready for extraction. This is very neat work which would leave the block effectively squared once it was quarried.

Notes

The Bacakale Quarry is the largest quarry at Iscehisar (ancient Dokimeion) and the focus of modern activity at the site. Both white and coloured marble are extracted here, the latter a white-cream breccia with purple veins (pavonazzetto).
