Description
The quarry-face in this section of quarry is nearly vertical and the lack of fissures in the stone seems to indicate that they were able to extract large blocks from this area.

Notes

The Bacakale Quarry is the largest quarry at Iscehisar (ancient Dokimeion) and the focus of modern activity at the site. Both white and coloured marble are extracted here, the latter a white-cream breccia with purple veins (pavonazzetto).
