A number of different block lines visible here show the way in which the blocks used do not respect the planned decoration. This is especially clear on the larger border beneath the scene which is made up of a number of blocks, some of which are also used for the vertical scrolls at either end. A long block line can also be seen running through the main sculpted scene, showing that it was finished in place.
