Following the smoothing of the background certain details have been incised into it with the flat chisel, such as the hanging leaves on the tree.

Drilling is visible all around the tree and its leaves. In some place the drill have been used to make holes but elsewhere it is possible that it has been used at an angle to carve furrows, the so-called 'running drill' technique.
