Notes

This material was recovered from various contexts concentrated around the Fossa Traiana at Portus and is now on display at Ostia. Whether these blocks were part of a stockpile of imports at Portus or a depot of damaged objects is debated but they seem to have undergone only limited work after arrival in Italy.
