Description
The carving is continuous across the block joins suggesting that the carving was undertaken in place. The blocks have irregular widths but not heights.

Notes

The Arch of Galerius is composed of a brick core faced with marble sculptural panels that celebrate the victory of the tetrarch Galerius over the Sassanid Persians and the capture of their capital Ctesiphon in 298.
