Description
The point chisel was used to roughed-out these objects.

Notes

These roughed-out elements were found in quarrying debris in the Roman quarries at Carrara. More detailed carving on these objects would have been undertaken at the building site. These objects were probably abandoned due to faults, like the large crack visible on the capital on the right.
