Notes

This column shaft or block has been partially quarried. It has had channels cut around three sides but was never freed from the rock-face along its base. The stone quarried at Altıntaş was similar to that quarried at the larger quarries at nearby Iscehisar - a white and purple breccia (pavonazzetto). The quarry here was cut as a long channel into the hillside.
