Description
This figure had a hand carved in a separate piece of marble which was then pinned on, as shown by the surviving socket.

Notes

This small togate male statue was originally carved in the early 1st century AD but was later combined with a re-carved head of the same period to create a statue of the emperor Theodosius I or II which was set up in the Tetrastoon behind the Theatre in the late 4th or early 5th century AD.
