The flesh of the arm and torso are worked with the flat chisel but still left relatively rough.
Notes
This figure is carved in much deeper relief than many other figures on the Sebasteion panels and stands right out from the background. Much more attention has also been paid to modelling rather than simply delineating the musculature of the torso.
