Notes

The border of the spiral running between scenes is much more fixed than on the Column of Trajan where it moves to accommodate figures. The focus throughout these scenes is on the figures and the action that they are engaged in rather than the setting for it: buildings tend to be very small and squeezed in, while vegetation is almost completely absent.
