A series of large blocks or possibly even small columns have been removed from this stepped quarry-face.
Notes
The stone quarried at Altıntaş was similar to that quarried at the larger quarries at nearby Iscehisar - a white and purple breccia (pavonazzetto). The quarry here was cut as a long channel into the hillside.
